Why do they always reuse the same stock footage?

It gets fatiguing, after a while, the exact same scratchy monochrome sequence of pancreas stumbling out of his cave in the dark, grabbing a sharp rock in his hands and plunging it down onto his cock.  It lasts all of four seconds yet I sometimes feel that it is the only footage I have ever seen in my entire life.

It's like the Wilhelm Scream, but extends far beyond cinema into everything else:  new productions from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ and the BBC utilise it, and it appears in just about everything from Stranger Things to Newsround.  It's distracting.  Why do they always reuse it?

Found a new clip! It's a blurry, '80s slo-mo of Ferris hitting it out of the ballpark!
