Since when was Fire Walk With Me a horror film?

BlodwynPig

Ah, is it Argento? No, too early and not Profondo Rosso.

Last house on the left?

There are some bits. Anyway, i just got the vibe from the pink. I knew there was no toad in it, but maybe its from an outtake.

Johnny Townmouse

I think Fire Walk with Me could be considered a horror, of sorts. In fact, same goes for Lost Highway and Inland Empire.

No to Argento and Last house on the left.

Since when wasn't it?!

Clue: I haven't just taken some obscure little moment from the film - the toad is quite fundamental to the story.

Literally a couple of years after The Nightcomers.

I had to look it up (1971?) and the only film I can think of from round then which has any toads in it is "Walkabout" (but it's hardly a horror film).

In summary, dunno

kidsick5000

Psychomania starring 70's Jason Statham
I always wanted a lounge like Beryl Reid's place.

BlodwynPig

There are some corking films from 1973

That is brilliant. The tagline is the best I have seen for a while.

Anyone know what documentary this is from? I'd quite like to see it.

Me too.
I reckon it could be one called Truly, Madly, Cheaply, About British B-Movies.

Ignatius_S

So the toad one wasn't The Toadening?

Aye, that's the one. It used to be on YouTube, so I had a quick look and it still is - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltok6JK_VD8

I love Psychomania. I know a couple of people who are currently writing an academic book about it for the Auteur Devil's Rejects series of books, so that should be a good read - I am slightly obsessed with it.

Excellent. Looking forward to Truly Madly Cheaply

Apologies for lack of quality but had to push something out

Argh! It's driving me mad this one. I'm sure I've seen it on TV one late night many years ago. Is it late 1970's early 1980's European? Possibly Italian, but for some reason I keep thinking French? Is it about a Satanic cult that live in a big castle and some dude ends up getting a sword shoved up his arse?

I don't know.  I just never had it down under 'horror'.  Maybe I'm just odd like that.

I believe that was the tagline, yes.

Shall deliver clues. Spanish/Brit collaboration in a Rosemary's Baby vein, but with more nudity
