Unexpectedly Nigel Kneale-esque moments in other films, TV, radio, games

Not just obvious homages i.e. Doctor Who, etc.

Watching the Awakening with commentary by Kim Newman and Stephen Jones on the blu ray, and they point out something I've long thought, how the bit where Heston (looking weirdly like ex-Quatermass Andrew Keir, who had previously played Heston's character Professor Trelawney/Fuchs/Corbeck in Blood from the Mummy's Tomb) consults an eccentric British astronomer (Leonard 'Full Circle' Maguire) at a radio-telescope is very like the sort of thing you'd expect in a Nigel Kneale script.

Any other times we've seen things and thought, 'ooh, that's a bit Kneale-esque' in productions that don't feel especially so otherwise.

Omen III has a similar bit where the monks consult another eccentric British astronomer (Arnold Diamond).
