The last time I saw Cochrane was at one of those parent-and-baby comedy clubs for exhausted people who just want to escape the house and hear some observations about self-service checkouts. Alun used his 10 minutes to talk about how it's his right to criticise trans, Muslim or obese people on stage if he wants to.

I remember Frank Skinner's radio show back in 2012 discussing Alun Cochrane's recent trip to Kilkenny, and they were surprised at his report that there was no bunting there to celebrate Elizabeth's diamond jubilee, and they concluded it must be resentment over the Famine.

I guess there were three of them in it (Emily Dean joined in with the Famine stuff), but I remember thinking he wasn't much of a thinker after that.

Didn't want to post this in the new thread so as not to clutter it with irrelevant crap, but: how come DC's Twitter account doesn't have a blue tick? Do celebs have to request one? Just seeing as he's very well-known and has 175k subscribers it seems odd that he doesn't have one, and it is definitely his account as it's linked to from his website.

A while ago there were claims that Dominic Cummings couldn't trend on Twitter because of their porn block objecting to "cumming". Wonder if he's too dirty to get a blue tick. Or if he just doesn't give a fuck. But it definitely makes it look like he's one of billions of fake Doms.
