Whatsapp Windows Weirdness

Whatsup wi' Whatsapp? (say that ten times quickly)

Since the Windows desktop version updated recently, it freezes whenever a new message pops up. It's not a massive problem - minimising the window fixes it - but it's a bit annoying.

Has anyone else experienced this, or is my PC dead soon?

I can't even get it to install the update. I've been using it through the Opera browser which now doesn't need to have your phone connected to the same Wi-Fi. I got a notification saying the app needed updated that I forgot I had but doesn't seem to want to update it for some reason.

It won't let me login on desktop anymore. Stupid fucking thing.
