I have a strong suspicion that many people who object to asexuals don't even know what it means, or they confuse it with non-binary. They just see the word 'sexual' without the word 'hetero' in front of it, it's part of 'LGBTQIA' and therefore it must be bad. Also the fact that they aren't asexual themselves and can't imagine that such a thing can exist. It's a bit like scoffing that bisexual women married to men don't exist, because their tiny minds can't imagine it.

I'd imagine a lot of them (certainly if BC's anything to go by) will only have encountered 'bisexual' women in pornography. Asexual porn probably wouldn't be as exciting.

It could be that but I also think it's that he is utterly incapable of admitting that he's ever at fault or in the wrong. He had opportunities many people dream of, how many people have been co writers of award winning sitcoms? It's certainly not an everyday occurrence and there are many with more talent who will never have had those chances
