Enjoying the first episode, but I feel like some things don't quite add up.  The dreary colour palette and lighting/staging doesn't really match some of the sillier humour - though I'm glad this isn't giving off 'comedy drama' vibes.  I feel like having - for want of a better term - normal people react to the very odd Chi is going to have diminishing returns.

She's the best thing about it but that's probably the idea.

also is Sunil Patel in everything now, and sort of doing the same thing?

I just watched the caravan park episode, that was fantastic. Selin Hizli really is top drawer in this ('Just pick a note, yeah?') but it's all very good.

What I really like about Chi is that she seems to have this genuinely quirky, possibly neurodivergent world-view that she is capable of amplifying/exaggerating for comedic effect, but without any hamminess, mugging to the 4th wall or self over-awareness.

Nathan Fielder is the only other really good example of this I can think of right now. Everyone else seems to cross the line and stray into Gervais/Miranda/Larry David territory.

It's also cool how Steve Brody gets drawn into her world, and isn't completely sure if he should be putting up any resistance or not, which makes for an interesting dynamic.

Hey this is getting a second series!

Always nice to see.
