I'm rewatching Arreste Development for about the 80th time and I love the way GOB always goes from one extreme emotion to another.

Also the way George Michael says "let her in" when Michael fails to remember Ann

Just all the Ann bits. Love them.
The Ann bits were always my favourite parts. They're so hard to explain to other people though, it's all in the performances.

Brundle-Fly

Sweating Anthony Carmichael's heavy breathing as if he's just come off stage after MC' ing for Public Enemy.

Rewatching the clip, Morris's hilarious lead-in caught me totally by surprise. "This report from Eugene Fraxby, who's got the story with him, reports."

I also love the 2nd time he introduces him(self), the shortened and resigned delivery, the little sigh. He's the master of the comedy of micro-expressions and inflections.

A bit in the Day Today about the Dog Bombers with Armando Ianucci making a rare appearance.

Doesn't sound at all funny. Camera is set across the street as believe Armando walks up to the area police have cordoned off and gives Armando an exaggerated gesture that he needs to turn around.
Mixture of exaggerated gesture and Armando's bemused reaction and even the lack of intimacy in the camera shot being across the street make old me all chuckling.

Something about Coogan shouting "moooove" in simulated slow motion really had me chuckling.

EOLAN

After the Saturday terrorist attack in London before the last general election. Sky interviewed a witness of activity and he basically did Coogan's impersonation of events, jumping to ground although maybe not quite as much slow motion.

I shouldn't have laughed if I wasn't a cunt.

The Day Today is one of my favourite comedies. First saw it when I was 8 or 9 and have loved, rewatched it ever since.

Yesterday was the first day I realised that was Iannucci being turned away by the copper.

EOLAN

In the Chinese episode of Father Ted.
After the presentation as they are full of camaraderie and cheer with their beers.

The deadpan delivery of the barman as he says "I'm sorry, the bar's closed".

In The Springfield Connection, when Herman escapes with the counterfeit jeans, but they rip on the line and he falls to the ground. ("Foiled by my own shoddy merchandiiiise!") The noise he makes as he lands.

This whole video is fabulous.

"The 'Potato Boy' when you have sex with Haley Joel Osment. "

That was fuckin brilliant. "JEREMYY SPOOOKEN" made me wheeze.

paruses

On the back of posting in the Lynn and Alan thread -

IAP S2 - the bit where the husky bald guy scuttles out of Michael's house when Alan drops by unannounced.

Phil_A

The bizarrely lustful way Whitehouse growls "Bono estenteeeeeeeeeeee" on this Chanel 9 sketch is one of the best things.

In a Harry Enfield Stan & Pam sketch, Kathy Burke's face when her sister boasts that she and her husband have won the lottery. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcxs-CH4kG0#t=41s

Haha how odd, I was just coming in here to post not only the exact same sketch, but the exact same moment. God Kathy Burke is the fucking best.

BeardFaceMan

I was listening to an old Radio 3 program about chords in rock music and there was a warning before the show that "this program contains strong language and loud music" which fucking floored me, that's the most Radio 3 thing I've ever heard. Probably because I don't listen to Radio 3.

Nathans song parodies in the Dumb Starbucks episode, especially "I can't get no eeeee-rection".

so many great little noises in the simpsons

the sound of the flying monkeys crumpling to the floor many storeys below as they fall from burns' window in "the last temptation of homer" is incredible

also when burns lets off the gas bomb in the "king homer" halloween episode, that weary "uuhhuhuhhuu" noise he makes absolutely kills me

... "i was strolling through the gas one daayyy"

alan nagsworth

the extremely small "ah--" and disdainful look chalmers emits as he walks in on skinner sneaking out the window in the steamed hams scene
