Any clips or pics of rockers that have a distinctly Spinal Tap-ish look?

Firstly, Rush from 1981 with DOUBLE double guitars:

And then Jeff Beck going full Nigel Tufnel about cars:

https://youtu.be/L3v5XH91Q_8?t=285

Bit of a Mick Shrimpton here:

any others?

The most Tap thing in that Beck interview is the yank Barrymore fellow who keeps interrupting him and talking over him every time he tries to say something making the whole conversation unintelligible.

another Mr. Lizard

Possibly slightly more 'Bad News' than 'Tap' but I've always loved Napalm Death's Snub TV interview, particularly the "melody" bit at approx four minutes.

The Mollusk

Dude from Steppenwolf (I'm not googling names, I don't care who he is) wearing a naff planet jumper that's very similar to the one Janine made for David St Hubbins.

I was watching an old film the other day - Blazing Saddles I think - and there's a bit where someone is being tortured with a glove and the villain is shouting SMELL THE GLOVE! and I wondered is this where the title came from?

More Jeff Beck, wait for the interview:

"The reason is I've got very weak flesh on my fingers; the bending I do would slice it up like a piece of cheese."

"...The Namesake Series of cassettes. They send you works of famous authors done by actors with the same last name."

Captain Z

Michael Flatley riverdances out of thread disappointed

Kankurette

The Edge getting trapped in a lemon.

Would have loved to have seen that tour. Fucking class album, Born Again.

That's a fascinating interview, and it's nice to see how obviously patient Beck is being. I always thought he looked so much like Nigel Tufnel it can't have been a coincidence.

Magnum Valentino

I've never actually been able to confirm this but inferred from liner notes somewhere or another that "Shit Sandwich" may have been a nod to the Herbie Hancock album Future Shock earning a similar two-word review in a credible publication AND IT WASN'T FUTURE SANDWICH, READER.

Thought I'd have another look for this, and the fourth result on Google is a post from CookdandBombd.

By me.

Grr!

Tarquin

Not a picture but here's Saxon on TOTP. The guitarist in the hat has a neat gimmick where his guitar spins around on a fulcrum mechanism. Circa 1:37 he tries it (thought it twatted him, but frame by frame he moves just before the swing)

Harry Shearer followed them on tour for research pre-Tap. Lead singer Biff loves Tap but prefers Bad News.

This! Tap infamously based loads of their stuff on Saxon.

This doc is amazing.

Just happened upon Pat Benatar's guitarist, with the tremendously Tap-esque name of Scott St. Clair Sheets.
