Why would James May Bostik a Connect 4 to Richard Ascroft's face?

Could anyone tell me why TV cars man James May would ever want to use the industrial-strength adhesive Bostik to glue a Connect 4 game to The Verve singer Richard Ashcroft's
flipping face? This one has me really stumped!
