I don't own a single Super Furry Animals album, or any of Rhys's other solo material, but I'm in love with this album and would like to know if anyone knows the song being sampled right at the end of the first track, 'Shark-Ridden Waters'?

The album is very pop-y and has a naive, Beach Boys Love You appeal to the lyrics/instrumentation. Very beautiful and all-round well-crafted for all its surface simplicity.

Thank you! I'm a huge Bacharach fan and this track is lovely lovely lovely. Can definitely hear the influence on this album (but where can't you?)
