I'll have a look at this now, although I'm rather busy, but various other bits of the site have been getting progressively slower, and timing out.  I'll try optimising the tables and see how that goes [nb]Although it should be set to do that every week or so anyway, so it may not help.[/nb], so the forum may get even slower for a bit.  It's probably getting near the time where I just need to archive everything off to another server.

I had to do some work just now to while away the hours. Whatever's going on I don't like it.

Seems like every 18 months or so the site conks out and needs to move house.

It turns out that someone is abusing the shared server that CaB is hosted on, and they're investigating at the moment.  I really hope this fixes the other problems I was having with some of the adminy bits of the site.  A relief either way, and things should go back to normal shortly.
