The incinerator has a stop valve just before the ignition point (and the liquid butane/propane-mix tank has a built in kill switch just after the regulator).

Frankly, if you aren't going to proceed in a safe way about all this then I think that speaks volumes to the decision I've made.

Edit: went and checked the incinerator, the kill switch is technically after the regulator but part of the same braising piece so wanted to add that clarification re: general incinerator use. My point still stands.
