I'm actually surprised at how obviously shit everyone seems to find this band. Nothing I've heard by them has ever jumped out at me as terribly exciting or interesting but that's the case for, like, the Fall as well, and everyone here LOVES the Fall

I think IDLES are fine. They're not as good as Viagra Boys but they're better than Sleaford Mods. I guess my problem with IDLES is that they could be better than they are. But I am not personally offended by them.

Model Village is on the soundtrack to the fuckawful / inexplicably great Saints Row reboot. The radio is either bugged (like literally everything else in the game) or Idles & White Reaper paid to make their respective songs come on, ooh, maybe 50% of the time you get into a new vehicle. Like, it's fucking always either Model Village or that da-na-na-na riff from Raw.

Took maybe 30 hours to finish the game and I reckon I spent a full 3 of those hours listening to Model Village alone. Stopped skipping it after a bit and just let it wash over me, like that Jess Glynne song when you fly with Jet2.

Idles suck shit.

Coldplay are a better band than IDLES.

But that's what they WANT me to say isn't it? And they'd reply "we love Chris and his band and we respect all music. I know you're being sarcastic but this is what we really think, we are being sincere. Spread love not hate, it's what the world needs right now."
