SNL is considered lame by a lot of people, many of whom like ITYSL, despite it being cut from the same cloth. Not sure what else to tell you.

Genuinely, I can imagine exactly this line being delivered to perfection by Tim Robinson.

I don't think that hat sketch is avante-garde or cool to like, the premise and execution isn't ground-breaking. Take the one where he swears loads on the haunted house tour because he's told it was allowed, and he can't understand why he's getting into trouble.. it's not complicated. anyway can people keep posting their favorite sketches please.

Favourite sketch is 'The day Robert Palins murdered me.'

Again, nothing complicated, but Tim's character improvising a nonsense song about skeletons because he mistakenly thought the music executives 'wanted something spooky' is so so funny to me. The way he interrupts Billy with '....exactly' makes me laugh every time I think about it.

I say well done for the sheer violence of the way they crash out of the coffin, and the horrified/disgusted crowd noises every time. Gets funnier with repetition!

That's Sam Richardson. If you haven't seen it I recommend Detroiters, a pre-ITYSL sitcom he co-created and starred in with Tim Robinson.

I don't love it, I think there are some misses. But it grows on me.

The "baby of the year" doesn't do much for me at all, though I do like the guy yelling "I hope you fucking die" towards the end

the sketch with the song about skeletons for whom bones are their dollars is extremely funny, especially "is your name Billy?" "No, that's why I'm so fffuckin confused"

Baby of the Year is another great sketch, I love the guy who plays the host in that.

I think he's probably the one that "gets" (or at least fits) the show the most after Tim Robinson himself. He's perfect.

Just watched this one again now. When he walks back into the room, tears in his eyes, and asks - painfully, as though he has no choice - about whether ghosts ever "blast out of the wall and have, like, a huge cum shot" it's fucking hilarious.

Mrs Potatoes and myself did a ghost tour on Thursday night at St Fagans, Cardiff (it was great, by the way) and I had to continually restrain myself from asking this very question. Mrs P doesn't like ITYSL at all, thinks it's "something only boys would find funny".

There is some truth to this, I think. I've played it to Mrs McDead, and she enjoys it to a point, beyond which the sameiness and shouting puts her off.
