The Mollusk

Quote from: The Mollusk on May 30, 2024, 03:46:39 PMLike an absolute tit I've double booked the June 14th gig at the Apollo with my mate's stag weekend, so trying to shift two tickets for it if anyone's keen? Seats are very good, and I'll waive the horrible wank booking fees I had to pay because I'm nice like that. You'll be doing me a huge favour if you can take them!

Bumping this message for visibility as I am quite desperate.

I would put them on one of those resale sites except Eventim haven't "dispatched" the tickets yet (it's an e-ticket, just give it to me you pricks). So the buyer would need to have faith in me sending them closer to the date or on the actual day itself.

Quote from: Led Souptin on June 01, 2024, 10:13:05 AMSaw this in weymouth last night and it was absolutely joyus. Some classic serafinowicz silliness, a couple of jokes had me proper doubled over.

Agreed! Also saw this in Weymouth and really enjoyed it. Loved it turning into an audio play when he disappeared off stage for awhile.

I like how he can basically start his own applause breaks if they are not forthcoming, the ineptness and ego of the character allow any sag from the audience to be nicely papered over.

Was surprised by how many kids there were in the crowd.

Quote from: Led Souptin on June 01, 2024, 10:13:05 AMThe book is also fantastic - I won't say anything about it to avoid spoiling it, but there's clearly been a lot or thought put into making even just looking at the cover a really funny experience. Deffo recommend (bit pricey at 30 quid a pop though, but lovely to meet Peter still in character and sweating in through that suit)

Just top stuff all round really

Wait a sec - do you mean you got to MEET him? Did he sign stuff afterwards?!

Oosp

Who all is going to Butterfield today?

Former Problem

I am. I am centre front, in black shirt and gilet, offering out bonbonbonbons

Doors are meant to open at 8 though! Wtf

Yeah and the commitment to the character really is astounding. We have three or four selfies with him and each one (taken seconds apart) has a completely different pained look on his face. Not sure if intentional or Pete's genuinely struggling wearing the suit for so long.

I'm there now! Interval now

It's really good, better than I expected tbh

I'm still laughing at "Disney And and Paramount And"

Also "Naughty Stuff For Wrong'uns"

I'm enjoying the list of food on screen at the moment

"Eminem & Eminems"

Former Problem

I was the guy who gave some bonbonbons to Brian at the start.

Oosp

It's fantastic so far. So daft. Merch person says Brian won't be signing st the end, which would be OK if not for @Led Souptin having made me an envy hat and filled it with my heart

Just back from the Dublin session and what a masterful piece. There were parts reliant on audience interaction and our participants had annoying comic ambition that required audience management by our seasoned professional, Brian. Which he unhesitatingly administered with deadly intent.

Serefanowicz immediately crippled any resistance with 30 plus minutes of top tier material and took it from there.

I took my sister by way of thanks and she was duly impressed. Highly recommend.

9/10.

DrJ

I was there tonight and it was magnificent.

You were there too? Aw man. How many of us were there tonight? I met @George White (thanks for the bonbonbonbons)....

Also: Irish Serafinowicz fans will be pleased to note that Clinton Baptiste - famous cousin of The Peter Serafinowicz Show's very own Alex Lowe - is playing the same theatre in November...

Oh, Nobody

Keep forgetting to mention this but Peter is doing some Forbidden Planet signings at the moment, presumably not as Butterfield:

https://forbiddenplanet.co.uk/peter-serafinowicz-signings/

Bosses were scrambling to restock Darth Maul funk pops for him to sign. Yeah that's what they're all coming for, lads.

Also the use of AI, which feels suitably Butterfieldian. Like, of course Brian uses AI, or Bri Ai n.

Quote from: rilk on September 15, 2023, 09:22:12 AMI'd completely forgotten about the real BB. Been watching a VHS taped from Living TV this morning.

Haha, sorry to drag up an old post but I had to check through the thread to see if anyone had already posted this. It is crazy how much mileage he has got out of this one advert. We used to do impressions of it all the time when it was actually on telly (every advert break pretty much if daytime TV) so the first BB sketch proper cracked us up but then it only got better from there.

Minami Minegishi

How was Dublin? The venue change was more than my anxiety could handle, unfortunately.

Quote from: cacciaguida on April 23, 2024, 09:59:19 PMI have two spare tickets to this due to poor coordination with my girlfriend...

JUNE 14th
LONDON — EVENTIM APOLLO

Looking to rehome them for face value if at all possible

This are still available and at potentially knockdown rates now...

Any takers?

Hey, not sure if it's because mine were kickass seats (3 rows from the front) but I put mine on Twickets at face value and they literally sold within an hour of the listing being approved.

Mine are e-tickets which I anticipate I won't receive until at least the day before the gig but the site lets you list them regardless, suggesting you upload screenshots of the confirmation email (with order number and personal details obscured) which I did. The buyer will purchase in good faith that you'll send them over once you receive them, and it gives you their phone number and email address in the confirmation email.

Oh right I tried to use Eventims own resale platform thing because of the e-tickets issue. I'll try again with twickets! Thanks

Angst in my Pants

Blimey, I thought Manchester was going to be a "town hall" type affair, but this place is massive! We had to queue around the blocks to get in. Very excited now!

Glyn

Great show at Cardiff. It didn't feel like the crowd were completely into it until the '5 bees' but from that point onwards it was a fantastic atmosphere.

It felt like a good mix of the Butterfield sketches and Look Around You style silliness. So many good throwaway lines, things like the Boss Baby joke keep popping into my head at random moments.

No luck with this

Anyone here want to make me a derisory offer I'll have to accept?

This is for the London show

imitationleather

Damn. Only just saw you were selling a ticket and bought one off someone else on Twickets not five minutes ago.

However, Twickets won't let you buy pairs of tickets as singles and as a confirmed loner who won't be found for months until the neighbours complain about all the debt collector letters piling up being a fire hazard after I've died alone (and crying) in my seedy bedsit I wouldn't have been able to buy your ones anyway.

I'm excited about seeing Brian Butterfield, thoguh!

cacciaguida

Manage to shift them on Twickets in the end but only recouped 50% of what I spent
