In 2007, Arty angrily stopped watching Doctor Who instead of going to the optician.

Crosswords? Did he see the word 'transport' and start crying cos it had the word 'trans' in it?

What about all the new healthy breasts gained by the gender cult?

These lads need to get their story straight imho

I hate Linehan too Arty, but you shouldn't call people "it".

Jack Shaftoe

I don't get how Arty and Glinner think about gender stuff more than people with actual gender dysphoria. I genuinely wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. But also they do have the choice of thinking about other things, so maybe they could try doing that?

The Bumlord

How can they think about other things when this gender madness is everywhere?

Jack Shaftoe

There must come a point where they just think 'Oh god, I don't care any more,' because, you know, it doesn't actually directly affect them, does it, and try and work out a way to quietly back out. At the moment, it must be like every time Glinner sees either boobs or not-boobs, he's like ARGHHHH, but you can't go on like that forever.

But I suppose it's the sunk cost thing. If you frame it as having lost so much in your brave battle with the transes, where can you go? I can't see this having anything other than a tragic ending, to be honest, it's the only way he can 'win'.

Nothing says feminism like being disappointed you can't wank over someone anymore because they've had their breasts removed.

I freely admit I am obsessive, anyone who's seen me on one in the football thread knows that, but Linehan makes me look normal.

Jack Shaftoe

I do wonder if the hope of one day receiving the sacrament of a reply from the blessed Rowling is keeping him going. I dunno, I don't want to speculate on how tragic or not Glimmer's eventual demise would be for those around him or anything, it all feels a bit grim. I don't even hate the man,  it's just terribly sad seeing someone back themselves into a corner and in the process making life much more difficult for people who've never done harm to anyone and want nothing more than to live their lives and be left alone.

George Oscar Bluth II

He'd be an incredible case study for the team at the Institute for Advanced Bananology. Truly no-one has been as radicalised or destroyed by internet addiction than him.

Although perhaps Elon Musk could match him one day.

idunnosomename

if he was banned from Twitter and was barred from posting, I would have thought he'd finally be back on his substack shitting his pants against Elon Musk. something else must be up.

Started rewatching the anime Serial Experiments Lain (1998) tonight which is rather ahead of its time on tech stuff and was reminded of this I made for Wimblewrong a few years ago (2020). I don't think i quite meant he'd fully offered his consciousness up to The Wired at this point (it was really a silly pun about The Goodies and "The Beard") but does seem somewhat prescient.

my guess is some kind of legal thing, given that two of his other vitriolic spunkchums have fucked off from twitter at the same time. I'm not saying they're necessarily involved, maybe just spooked.

He's trapped under a pile of signed copies of Tough Crowd that he'd crudely fashioned into a fort that collapsed next to his racecar bed and he's trying to save his phone battery so is limiting himself to just liking tweets.

I wouldn't be surprised if he sent her a monkey statue with white feathers glued to it (well, I hope that it's glue) early on in all of this and ended up on some watch list at castle Rowling.

They're all covered with white feathers by the time he's finished with them Stu

A bit off the Glinner trail here, but I was reading this review of James O'Brien's new book in the Guardian just now, a book not about gender at all, and there's that sinking feeling of where the review is going in the last couple of paragraphs.

Christ, they must have needed some talc to shoe-horn that into the review

buttgammon

I'm pleasantly surprised to find out James O'Brien is presumably not a transphobe.

The writer's views are clear elsewhere.

Shaxberd

As Arty Morty demonstrated, the curse of the banana is that you can't stop thinking about it even when doing something entirely irrelevant.

I imagine at this point a lot of the Guardian's non-terf writers have left, I know I would've in that situation.
