He's guilty of mayhem
Exposure indecent
Freaked out behaviour
Both chronic and recent

Claude the Racecar Driving Rockstar Super Sleuth

Inanimate, huh? I'll show him inanimate. Gaaarrgh!

Sebastian Cobb

Quiet! I will not hear another word against the boat.

Please refrain from tasting the knob.

Haven't watched anything post-S8 in ages but I think this was a late gem from the progressively more depressing S9-10-11 ballpark (?)
old gag, yet I still see that exact [SCENE MISSING] frame used in other things online from time to time. Also the sudden discordant tone, love it

Oh Grampa, you and your stories! Someone's trying to kill me. The nurses are stealing my money. This thing on my neck is getting bigger.

I love this one and the visual representation of it turning horrible as the fear sets in.

Also Homer's 'photographic memory'.

"See all that stuff in there Homer? That's why your robot didn't work."

And A Streetcar Named Marge is probably my favourite episode. Some other fan favourite episodes have bits that are maybe trying too hard or feel forced in places but that one is flawless.

"Your father can be surprisingly sensitive. Remember when I giggled at his Sherlock Holmes hat? He sulked for a week and then closed his detective agency" Succinct with a world behind it.

"There she is, the old Radiation King"

Love how Homer's imagination can only conjure up a pitcher's mitt for Flanders.

Bart Of Darkness (Rear Window spoof) has so many brilliant lines I might as well paste the whole script. Not sure if it's even in my top ten, but every other line is a classic.

A fine barn English, but a pool it is not.

Continue swimming naked.

Hey Simpson, your epidermis is showing. And then Nelson explain the joke as Bart falls in the background.

Hello Mrs... Uh Bart.

He's going to kill Rod and Todd, that's terrible! In theory.

Then I will be the queen the summer time!

Shut up brain, I don't need you anymore.

Senior Baiano

Better yet, Nelson confidently gets it wrong.

Two, four, six, eight,
Homer's crime was very great!

Great meaning "large" or "immense",
We use it in the pejorative sense!

"Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home wine making course and I forgot how to drive?"

"That's because you were drunk!"

"And how!"

Ferris

The slightly wonky relationship between characters and their brains acting as separate entities ("twenty dollars can buy many peanuts" etc) always makes me chuckle. Example:

Marge Simpson : An invitation to our high school reunion! Gee, that's odd, they didn't send one to you.
Homer's Brain : This is it, Homer. It's time to tell her the terrible secret from your past.
Homer : Marge, I ate those fancy soaps you bought for the bathroom.
Marge Simpson : Oh my God!
Homer's Brain : No, the other secret.
Homer : Marge, I never graduated from high school.
Marge Simpson : Well, that still doesn't explain why you ate my soap. Wait, maybe it does.

i love when homer manages to mix up his thinking and talking voices and outs his plan to bunk off work and go on a brewery tour.

Yup, brilliant. Barney waving to Wiggum as he drives off "whatever you say, giant beer" is a highlight from the whole brewery subplot.

Edit to add this is basically the same setup but still excellent:

Memed to absolute hell and back, but still wonderful.

Monorail!

I call the big one bitey.

My work here is done.

Do you even know who I am?
Weren't you one of the Little Rascals?

But Main Street is still cracked and broken!
Sorry Marge, the mob has spoken!

Mono- d'oh!

I tried to watch the Leftorium episode last night and it felt a bit weird. The characters didn't feel right. Is season 4 considered the start of the golden era?

We've been watching absolutely loads of simpsons recently. There's a few good episodes between season 10-12 but we haven't dared venture further yet. Does anyone have any good later episode recommendations because we're running out of classics

The Simpsons is apparently good again. Though I haven't actually watched any of the new ones, it's nice to feel hopeful again.

Apparently you can eat kiwi with the skin on now. Its actually better
