Russell Brand - now "a Christian" [split topic]

Pink Gregory

not even the first right wing coffee roaster

dissolute ocelot

Bear Grylls has lost his job as Chief Scout thanks to his friendship with and baptism of Russell Brand.

As for the anti-woke coffee, if you buy Starbucks you're funding sexual abuse and attacks on organised labour including its campaign against pro-Palestinian organized labor in the US. And Nestle and Douwe Egberts admit some of their coffee is probably picked by slaves. Short of Mellow Birds being made from baby penguins who've failed their dance audition, I'm not sure how un-woke you want your coffee to be.

Kankurette

What could be more anti-woke than supporting genocide?

If the snowflakes get a gluten free section to themselves in the supermarkets, why can't there be a proud to be white and straight section?

Shorn of context, this sentence is fucking hilarious.

GoblinAhFuckScary

a man of the cloth but the cloth is a smelly jizzrag

ASFTSN

Some "woke" things Brand is on record as doing:

Saying Black women are beautiful.
Writing for the Guardian and the New Statesman.
Endorsing Jeremy Corbyn.
Berating Nigel Farage.
Confronting a neo-nazi about his problematic beliefs.

I'm so confused Russell, where do you stand please help me decide which coffee to buy

idunnosomename

Great if he's taking down another 00s TV twat with him. Teddy "Bear" Grylls, Tory squaddie cunt

Somewhere Ray Mears is clenching his fist and silently mouthing the word "Yessss!"

This is the point at which I started thinking 'Uh-oh!' about both of these characters:

Great wide ranging talk with Russell Brand:

Note the implications of what Dr John is saying towards the end of the video. Since then, the doc has also jumped in the deep end and gone down a rabbit hole (You know, as dug by one of those aquatic rabbits they have these days).

The worry is the folk who will take direction from the likes of Brand. People watch Infowars like it's proper news it's scary really. Imagine looking at Alex Jones and thinking yep, that checks out.

Not Alex Jones off the one show I mean the alcoholic mentally ill American one.

"Woke liberal coffee that hates you and your way of life"!

If you've reached the point in life where even your coffee hates you, surely at that point you'd have to conclude that you must be a cunt?

Stinky Lomax

If you run into a cup of coffee who's a cunt in the morning, you ran into a cup of coffee who's a cunt. If you run into cunty cups of coffee all day, you're the cunt.

neov1974

it's worth reiterating the personality disorder point really.
it solves a heck of a lot of the "how did he get from x to y" questions
with the answer being, he doesn't care -  he needs the attention and the perceived status and money
his whole trajectory fits the remit, get as high up every ladder that you can, if you fail get on another one

Ironic that it's from Bolivia.

Urinal Cake

How many people have turned into right-wing grifters because Hollywood `liberals' won't give me work as a actor/writer/director?

And ethically sourced. Almost like the company is w-... wo-... - No, can't be.

Asclepius

As the parent of a Cub, I'm really pleased that the Russell Brand association seems to have finished off Bare Grills period of being Chief Scout. So that's one positive of it all.

imitationleather

I hate to be kind to Brand, but pretty much every YouTuber who has to do a bit mid-video shilling for whichever product is paying them that week comes out of it looking terrible. I know why it's necessary and I don't begrudge them doing it, but it's something that is incredibly difficult to pull off with any kind of dignity.

Now excuse me while I finish off my cup of specially sourced anti-woke coffee.

Same here. Horrible wanker.

Ah, good old 'Nigel Farage DESTROYS woke feminist' clickbait videos.

phantom_power

Ooh popularism or authoritarianism, which one is the best? I don't know I'm just asking questions but funnily have spent the last 30 minutes criticising the popularist and bigging up the authoritarian

There are lots of things to discuss about immigration but conveniently my views are starting to converge with those of the right wing, but my reasons are nice ones, not like those nasty ones I used to hate

If I might be so bold as to emphasise the truth: Russell Brand.

God it's depressing. The sinister spinelessness of it all. "What's the answer? I don't know, I'm just a naughty little boy just asking questions about Keir and his globalist links"

Rather watch "Nigel Farage DESTROYS light aircraft again"

(Joking, I don't wish harm on him. Just wish he'd sod off down the pub and stay there)
