I went looking for her and Pete's version of ' A Whole New World' on YouTube to post here, sad to see the video quality for this banger was so poor. It was interesting to see that conceptually they went for a 'La Dolce Vita' theme for the video rather than an Aladdin one. Anyhow, I haven't seen her get pooed on but I just hope she's approaching it hygienically and getting paid appropriately. As someone who has for years treated Katie Price like a member of the royal family - and by that I mean totally ignoring anything about her in the media - I surprised myself last week by listening to an interview with her. On a podcast. I don't often do them either.

But complications in my own artistic...er...endeavours...recently has led to me becoming a big fan of How To Fail With Elizabeth Day, after accidentally coming across the one with my best showbiz mate Jarvis Thingy, so am working my way through all the other celebs featured.

Price came across as quite interesting with some quite traumatic things happening to her, like being raped as a child by a stranger in a park and seeming to have compartmentalised it as just one of those things. She said something along the lines of never crying about it until she was interviewed on TV by Piers Morgan. Speaking to him is admittedly enough to reduce most people to tears, but...how do I put this without sounding like a twat?...there also seemed to be something quite calculating about her wanting to chose the moment when her revelation (assuming it was one? I genuinely don't know) would have the maximum media impact.

She's certainly a lot more complex than I'd expected but then I'd ignored her to the extent I think it's the first time I'd ever heard her voice. I didn't even know she's (allegedly!) a best-selling author. And I still can't for the life of me work out why she's famous but there we go. I think, as Kankurette says, her and the tabloids and some other media have fed off each other so long she's unlikely to ever get any peace. I'm not sure (despite her claims to the contrary on the podcast) she wants it either.

I don't really want to hear any more about her though. Especially involving shit.

I remember her on the Frank Skinner show back in 2001, when she was still going by the Jordan pseudonym. Frank approached it in a very "wahey" manner, as you might expect, but what we got was a seemingly heartfelt confession that her "career" made her utterly miserable and that she was giving up being "Jordan", and just trying to live a normal, quiet life. Skinner was quite cowed and humbled by it all and it ended in a sombre tone, wishing her all the best and hoping that she could find the happiness she was looking for.

23 years later, she's still saying the same thing.

It feels a bit like when you talk to an alcoholic and they tell you how they're getting off the sauce, gonna do some courses, learn to drive, get their shit sorted out and the next time you see them, a month later, they're falling out of a cab and staggering into a 'Spoons.

All I know is, it's far, far harder to stay in the public eye than it is to fade away into obscurity. Even for someone like her.

She does have issue, like others have pointed out, so many pets died, drunk while driving so many times, bankrupt several times. I do wonder about the people around her though, I can imagine they make matters far worse than they need to be, hangers on, leeches etc.

I would imagine pooing on Katie Price would be particularly desirable if you had this pathology. Google 'Dubai Porta Potty' to fall into the rabbithole, but yknow only if you have a strong disposition; I can't see how knowledge about this would improve your life
